Product Care
Thoughtful care helps preserve the finish, colour and beauty of your Feggeri jewellery. Our collection includes sterling silver, gold vermeil, platinum-plated finishes, gemstones and pearls, each with its own care requirements.

Everyday Care
- Put your jewellery on after applying perfume, cosmetics and skincare, allowing products to dry first.
- Remove jewellery before showering, swimming, exercising, sleeping or using household cleaning products.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture, direct sunlight, excessive heat and sudden temperature changes.
- Handle chains, clasps and settings gently. Avoid pulling, bending or catching your jewellery on clothing.
- After wearing, gently wipe each piece with a clean, soft cloth to remove surface oils and residue.
Gold Vermeil & Gold-Plated Sterling Silver
Our gold vermeil designs feature a 3-micron layer of 24K gold over sterling silver. Selected designs have a gold-plated finish, as specified on their product pages.
Gold finishes require gentle handling. Friction, chemicals and frequent exposure to moisture can gradually wear the surface, revealing the silver beneath.
Clean with a soft, non-abrasive cloth, using light pressure. Avoid abrasive polishing cloths, silver dips, brushes and chemical jewellery cleaners, which can damage or remove the gold finish.
Platinum-Plated Sterling Silver
Our platinum-plated designs feature a 1.5-micron layer of platinum over sterling silver.
To preserve the finish, protect your jewellery from scratches, repeated friction and contact with chemicals. Gently wipe with a soft, non-abrasive cloth after wearing. Avoid metal polishes and abrasive cleaning products.
Like other plated finishes, platinum plating can wear over time. Careful handling and separate storage help maintain its appearance.
Sterling Silver
Sterling silver contains 92.5% pure silver. It can naturally tarnish through exposure to air, moisture and everyday substances.
Store unplated silver in a soft, tarnish-resistant pouch. For plain, unplated silver pieces, a suitable silver-polishing cloth can help remove light tarnish. Keep the cloth away from gemstones and pearls, and never use it on gold or platinum plating.
Gemstones & Diamonds
Our designs include amethyst, peridot, topaz, rhodolite garnet and diamonds.
Protect stones and their settings from knocks, pressure and contact with other jewellery. Even hard gemstones can chip, and settings can loosen with impact.
For routine cleaning, gently wipe with a soft cloth. When needed, use a cloth lightly dampened with lukewarm water, then dry carefully. Avoid soaking the entire piece, and consider the care requirements of its metal finish and any pearls.
Avoid home ultrasonic and steam cleaners. For deeper cleaning or a loose stone, seek advice before wearing the piece again.
Freshwater & Baroque Pearls
Pearls have a delicate surface that is particularly sensitive to scratches, perfume, cosmetics and cleaning chemicals.
After wearing, gently wipe them with a very soft cloth. If necessary, lightly dampen the cloth with water. Do not scrub, soak or use chemical cleaners.
Store pearls separately in a soft, breathable pouch, away from heat and very dry conditions. For designs strung on nylon thread, avoid stretching or pulling, and allow the thread to dry fully before wearing.
Storage & Further Advice
Keep pieces separately in a lined jewellery box or soft pouches to prevent scratching and tangling. Fasten necklaces before storing them and avoid placing heavier pieces on top of delicate designs.
